A medical doctor and economist, Mark McClellan works on promoting high-quality, innovative and affordable health care. Previously the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. McClellan now directs the Engelberg Center for Health Care Reform at Brookings. The Engelberg Center's mission is to be a catalyst for change in efforts to reform health care in the U.S., through a focus on practical solutions for access, quality, and financing challenges.
